Hiking, bird watching, and swimming
For the more energetic we have a number of well-marked hiking trails that take you past scenic dams and quiet bird hides.
Horse-riding safaris & a close interaction with wild animals education program
The Horse-riding safaris are rated by TripAdvisor as one of the best in the world. This is offered on the game reserve itself. The lion research program is conducted in co-operation with the University of Pretoria and the Onderstepoort Veterinary Hospital. The interaction program consists of close encounters with servals, snakes, sometimes little meerkats, and possibly also some large predators.
Traversing on the game reserve
There are hundreds of bird species to view, abundant wildlife and beautiful landscapes to photograph. All self-guided hikes are free when staying in the Lodge.
